IPL 2016: KXIP V SRH

Sorry for not writing for last match. Yesterday’s first match was an exciting match. The match was played at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. This was the Punjab’s last match to be played at this ground.

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and chose to bat first. Punjab start was average. The 33-run stand between Vijay and Hashim Amla in 26 balls started very well. They lost Vijay early in 5th over of the innings. Vijay was caught by David Warner off Mustafizur Rahman’s 1st over. Hashim Amla hit a boundary off Nehra’s 2nd ball. Nehra often too many balls in his first 2 overs. Hashim Amla hit a four and six off Karn Sharma’s 1st over. Punjab was comfortably placed at 87 for 1 in 11 overs. The 54-run stand between Hashim Amla and Wriddhiman Saha in 41 balls increased the run-rate. They lost Wriddhiman Saha in first ball of 12th over of the innings. Wriddhiman Saha was caught by Deepak Hooda off Henriques 2nd over. At one stage Punjab will cross the 200-run mark and Punjab was also comfortably placed at 152 for 2 in 17.1 overs. The 65-run stand between Hashim Amla and Gukeerat Singh Mann in 37 balls was the highest. They lost Gukeerat Singh Mann in 18th over of the innings. Gukeerat Singh Mann was bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in his 3rd over. Nehra suffered a leg injury in his penultimate ball of 3rd over. Ben Cutting bowled the final ball of 19th over after Nehra’s injury. Hashim Amla scored a brilliant 96 off 56 balls and destroyed the Hyderabad bowlers. This was his 1st fifty in IPL career and overall 17th fifty on his T20 career. This was his highest IPL score against his previous highest off 21 runs vs Royal Challengers Bangalore at same ground few days ago. This was his second highest T20 score behind 97 runs for South Africa vs Australia at Cape Town earlier this year. This was the highest score by Punjab batsman in this season against the previous highest off 89 runs by Vijay against Royal Challengers Bangalore also at Mohali. This was the highest score by batsman in this match. They lost Hashim Amla in last over of the innings. Hashim Amla was caught by David Warner off Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s final over. Punjab posted a competitive total of 179 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most successful bowler for Hyderabad when he took 2 wickets.

Hyderabad start was good. The 68-run stand between David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan in 48 balls was the highest. This was the third highest 1st wicket partnership for Hyderabad in this season. They lost Shikhar Dhawan in last ball of 8th over of the innings. Shikhar Dhawan was run out by a direct throw by Mohit Sharma. David Warner hit 2 sixes off Mohit Sharma’s 2nd over. Hyderabad was comfortably placed at 97 for 1 in 12 overs. Warner scored a fine 52 off 41 balls and hammered the Punjab bowlers. This was his 6th fifty of the season and overall 29th fifty of his IPL career. This was the second most fifties by batsman in IPL history behind Gambhir with 30 fifties. This was the highest score by batsman in this innings. They lost David Warner in first ball of 13th over of the innings. David Warner was hit wicket by Axar Patel in his 2nd over. They hit a four and six off Axar Patel’s same over. Yuvraj Singh hit a six off Mohit Sharma’s 3rd over. They scored 10 runs apiece in next 3 overs. Hyderabad was also comfortably placed at 139 for 2 in 15.5 overs and it looked Hyderabad will win the match. Deepak Hooda scored a classy 34 off 22 balls and attacked the Punjab bowling. The 42-run stand between Deepak Hooda and Yuvraj Singh in 23 balls increased the run-rate. They lost Deepak Hooda in last ball of 16th over of the innings. Deepak Hooda was caught by David Miller off Sandeep Sharma’s 3rd over. Yuvraj Singh hit a  six and 2 consecutive fours off Axar Patel’s last over. Ben Cutting hit a six and equation was down to 20 off 12 balls. Maxwell conceded 11 runs in 19th over of the innings. Yuvraj Singh hit a six off Mohit Sharma’s final over. Yuvraj Singh scored a quickfire 42 off 24 balls and smashed the Punjab bowling. The 41-run stand between Yuvraj Singh and Ben Cutting in 22 balls remained unbeaten. Yuvraj Singh took a winning run and Hyderabad won comfortably. Axar Patel and Sandeep Sharma took 1 wicket each for Hyderabad. Hyderabad won the match by 7 wickets. This was Hyderabad’s 8th win in IPL 2016. This win meant Hyderabad became the first team to make it to playoffs. Punjab are the second team to knock out of the IPL 2016 after Pune.

Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Delhi Daredevils on May 20. Kings XI Punjab will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 18.

IPL 2016: SRH V DD

Yesterday’s match was an interesting match. The match was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. This was Hyderabad’s last home match of the season followed by 3 back-to-back away games.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and chose to bowl first. Hyderabad start was good. Jayant Yadav gave the ball plenty of air in 3 powerplay overs. Warner hit 2 fours off Jayant Yadav’s 2nd over. Warner scored a fine 46 off 30 balls and destroyed the Delhi bowling. This was the highest score by batsman in this match. The 67-run stand between Warner and Shikhar Dhawan in 53 balls was the highest. They lost Warner in penultimate ball of 19th over of the innings. Warner was bowled by Jayant Yadav in his 2nd over. Amit Mishra introduced the attack in 11th over of the innings. Hyderabad was comfortably placed at 98 for 1 in 12.5 overs and it looked Hyderabad will cross 150-run mark. Shikhar Dhawan scored a classy 34 off 37 balls and paced the Hyderabad innings. The 31-run stand between Shikhar Dhawan and Williamson in 25 balls increased the run-rate. Shikhar Dhawan was caught by Sanju Samson off Amit Mishra’s 2nd over. They lost 3 more wickets for 16 runs in the span of 2.3 overs and Delhi made a comeback. Hyderabad was reduced to 114 for 4 in 15.2 overs. Hyderabad was also comfortably placed at 135 for 4 in 17.4 overs and it also looked Hyderabad will also cross 150-run mark. Williamson was bowled by Chris Morris in his last over. It was a turning point as they lost last 4 wickets for 8 runs in the span of 2.1 overs including 2 wickets in 19th over of the innings and Delhi also made a comeback. Hyderabad was also reduced to 143 for 8 in 19.5 overs. Nehra was caught and bowled by Coulter-Nile in his final over but umpire signaled as no-ball. Hyderabad posted not a competitive total of 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Hyderabad scored 48 runs in the last 7 overs. This was the third lowest total for Hyderabad at this ground in this season behind 118 runs against Rising Pune Supergiants and 142 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Amit Mishra and Coulter-Nile took 2 wickets each for Delhi.

Delhi start was not good. Mayank Agarwal began brightly with mid-on four. They lost Mayank Agarwal early in first ball of 4th over of the innings. Mayank Agarwal was caught by Yuvraj Singh off Nehra’s 2nd over. de Kock looked in deep control when he was out caught behind and umpire after a prolonged appeal but signaled as not out. de Kock’s helmet fell down the ground as he completed the stroke, the Ultra Edge no bat was allowed. de Kock hit 2 consecutive fours off Nehra’s same over. He cutting the four off Mustafizur Rahman’s 1st over. Delhi closed powerplay at 50 for 1 in 6 overs. Delhi was comfortably placed at 75 for 1 in 9.1 overs and it looked Delhi will win the match. The 55-run stand between de Kock and Karun Nair in 37 balls increased the run-rate. de Kock scored a brilliant 44 off 31 balls and hammered the Hyderabad bowling. This was his fourth highest score in chases in this season. Four of his five highest score in chases in IPL career but all of them are winning. de Kock was caught by Naman Ojha off Henriques’s 1st over. They lost 2 more wickets for 3 runs in the span of 4 balls and it looked Hyderabad will make a comeback. Delhi was reduced to 78 for 3 in 9.5 overs. Rishabh Pant hit a six and four off Mustafizur Rahman’s 2nd over.  Samson hit a boundary off Mustafizur Rahman’s next over. Rishabh Pant scored quickfire 39 off 26 balls and attacked the Hyderabad bowling. Samson scored a gutsy 34 off 26 balls and smashed the Hyderabad bowling. Rishabh Pant plundered 26 runs from Mustafizur Rahman in 13 balls. The 72-run stand between Samson and Rishabh Pant in 50 balls was the highest and remained unbeaten. This was the 4th wicket partnership for Delhi in this season. Samson hit the winning six and Delhi won comfortably. Henriques was the most successful bowler for Hyderabad when he took 2 wickets including in 10th over of the innings.  Delhi won the match by 7 wickets. This was Delhi’s 6th win in IPL 2016. This was Hyderabad’s 1st loss after 4 consecutive wins.

Now, Delhi Daredevils will face Mumbai Indians on May 15. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Kings XI Punjab also on May 15.

Yesterday’s match was a low-scoring match. The match was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl first. Lions start was not good. Hyderabad bowled consecutive maidens for the first time in IPL history. Lions lost Dwayne Smith early in 3rd over of the innings. Dwayne Smith was caught by Mustafizur Rahman off Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 2nd over. Raina hit a flicked six off Nehra’s 2nd over. Raina scored a quickfire 20 off 10 balls and paced the Lions innings. Raina was caught and bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s in his 3rd over. Brendon McCullum was dropped by Dhawan’s juggling in early stages of the innings when he was on 4 runs. It was not a costly miss as he went on to score only 3 more runs. They lost 3 more wickets for 10 runs in the span of 2.5 overs and Hyderabad made a comeback. Lions was reduced to 34 for 4 in 7.4 overs. Lions was weakly placed at 79 for 4 in 14 overs. The 45-run stand between Aaron Finch and Dwayne Bravo in 39 was the highest and made some recovery. They lost Dwayne Bravo in first ball of 15th over of the innings. Dwayne Bravo was caught by substitute Vijay Shankar off Sran’s 2nd over. Warner dropped a sitter of Aaron Finch in middle stages of the innings when he was on 30 runs. It was a costly miss as he went on to score 21 more runs. He hit a six off Mustafizur Rahman’s 3rd over. The 27-run stand between Aaron Finch and Ravindra Jadeja in 24 balls was a fight back. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the last wicket and Hyderabad won comfortably. All bowlers took 1 wicket each for Hyderabad. Hyderabad won the match by 15 runs. This was Hyderabad’s 4th win in IPL 2016.

The 26-run stand between Dhawan and Tare in 26 balls run-rate was slow. They lost 4 more wickets for 6 runs in the span of 3.2 overs. Hyderabad was reduced to 32 for 5 in 8.1 overs. Hyderabad hit a first boundary by Dhawan since 5th over of the innings. Dhawan was dropped by Rahane in middle stages of the innings when he was on 43 runs. It was not a costly miss as he wen on to score 13 more runs.  Hyderabad was weakly placed at 79 for 5 in 16.3 overs. The 47-run stand between Dhawan and Naman Ojha in 51 balls was the highest. Naman Ojha was bowled by Dinda. They lost 3 wickets for 36 runs in the span of 3.1 overs. Hyderabad was also reduced to 115 for 8 in 19.4 overs. Pune start was a worst. They lost Rahane early in 5th ball of the innings. Rahane was caught by Morgan of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s first over. Steven Smith was hit by Naman Ojha at almost chest level of Mustafizur Rahman’s bowling when he was on 24 runs. Pune was comfortably placed at 80 for 1 in 9 overs and it looked Pune will win the match. du Plessis scored a classy 30 off 21 balls against Hyderabad bowling. The 80-run stand between du Plessis and Steven Smith in 50 balls was the highest.  Steven Smith scored a brilliant 46 off 36 balls remained unbeaten. This was the highest score by batsman in this innings. They lost 2 more wickets for  14 runs in the span of 2 overs. Dhoni was caught by Tare of Nehra’s 3rd over when the rain had arrived. The rain continues as per D/L score. Pune won the match by 34 runs via D/L method. This was Pune’s 2nd win in IPL 2016.

Now, Rising Pune Supergiants will face Gujarat Lions on April 29. Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 30.

The 56-run stand between Brendon McCullum & Raina in 40 balls was the highest. They lost 3 wickets for 35 runs in the span of 5 overs. Lions was also weakly placed at 117 for 4 in 16.4 overs. The 26-run stand between Raina and Ravindra Jadeja  in 28 balls. They lost last 4 wickets for 16 runs in the span of 3.2 overs & Hyderabad will make a comeback. Raina scored a fine 75 off 51 balls destroyed the Hyderabad bowlers. This was the highest score in this innings. This was his first fifty of the season & overall 27th fifty of his IPL career. He scored 26 fifties for Chennai & 1 for Lions. No other batsmen other than Raina made their highest score more than 18 runs. Lions was posted not a competitive total of 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most successful bowler for Hyderabad when he took 4 wickets & 3 in the final over of the innings. He conceded 3 wickets for 6 runs in the last over including 2 consecutive wickets in 2 balls. He earned his Purple Cap for taking 7 wickets was jointly held by McClenaghan.

Hyderabad was having a good note. Praveen Kumar was conceded as 5 wides it goes to the boundary line but umpired signaled given as wide. He was also conceded as another wide in this over. Dwayne Bravo was chance to take wicket or not when the umpire appealed as leg bye but not taking a wicket.  Tambe conceded as wide it goes past to the keeper  but umpired signaled given as wide.  The 137-run stand between Warner & Dhawan in 89 balls was the highest. The was the highest 1st wicket partnership of the season & first century 1st wicket partnership of the season. The previous best was 97 runs between Vijay & Vohra for Punjab against Pune at Mohali last weekend. Dhawan scored a brilliant 53 off 41 balls attacked the Lions bowling. This was his 1st fifty of the season & overall 19th fifty of his IPL career. Warner scored a huge 74 off 48 balls hammered the Lions bowlers. This was his 3rd fifty of the season & overall 26th fifty of his IPL career behind Gambhir & Raina who scored most fifties. This was the highest score in this innings. Warner hit the winning four & Hyderabad won comfortably. Warner earned his Orange Cap for scoring 235 runs. Praveen Kumar was the most expensive bowler for Lions when he conceded 31 runs in 2 overs. Hyderabad won the match by 10 wickets. This was the 8th 10-wicket win in IPL history & 1st for Sunrisers. This was Hyderabad’s 2nd win in IPL 2016.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl first. Mumbai was not having a good note. They lost 4 wickets for 60 runs in the span of 10.4 overs. Mumbai was weakly placed at 123 for 4 in 17 overs. The 63-run stand between Rayudu & Krunal Pandya in 39 balls was the highest. Rayudu scored a fine 54 off 49 balls shattered against Hyderabad bowling. This was his 1st fifty of the season & overall 13th fifty of his IPL career. This was the highest score in this innings. The Pandyas brothers take the center stage for the first time in IPL history. They lost Rayudu & Hardik Pandya in 18th & 19th over of the innings respectively. Sran caught by Henriques to dismiss Rayudu in 18th over of Mumbai innings. Mustafizur Rahman bowled by Hardik Pandya in 19th over of Mumbai innings. Krunal Pandya scored a brilliant 49 off 28 balls destroyed the Hyderabad bowlers. He was just 1 short of 1st ever fifty in his second IPL game. Mumbai was not a competitive total of 142 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Sran was the most successful bowler for Hyderabad when he took 3 wickets.

They lost Henriques in 11th over of the innings. Southee caught by Parthiv Patel to dismiss Henriques in 11th over of Hyderabad innings. Hyderabad was also kept placed at 100 for 2 in 14.1 overs. The 34-run stand between Warner and Morgan in 25 balls. They lost Morgan in 15th over of the innings. Southee was also caught by Hardik Pandya to dismiss Morgan in 15th over of Hyderabad innings. The 45-run stand between Warner & Deepak Hooda in 19 balls remained unbeaten. Warner scored a quickfire 90 off 59 balls hammered the Mumbai bowlers. This was his 2nd fifty of the season & overall 20th fifty of his IPL career. This was the second highest score by Hyderabad batsmen behind 91 runs also held by Warner against Kolkata at Visakhapatnam last year. This was the highest score in the innings. Warner hit the winning six and Hyderabad won comfortably. Hyderabad was a respective total of 145 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Hyderabad won the match by 7 wickets. Southee was the most successful bowler for Mumbai when he took 3 wickets. This was Hyderabad’s 1st win in IPL 2016.

Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Gujarat Lions on April 21. Mumbai Indians will also take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 20.

IPL 2016: SRH V KKR

Hi! I am back. I was busy with my exams. Missed opening ceremony & initial 7 matches. I promise now onwards I will give you daily updates of IPL matches.

Yesterday’s first match was one-sided match. The match was played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bat first. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings started not on a good note. They lost 4 wickets for 50 runs in 9.4 overs. The 67-run stand between Morgan and Naman Ojha in 47 balls was crucial. Morgan scored a fine 51 off 43 balls.This was his first fifty of the season and overall 4th fifty in his IPL career. Naman Ojha scored a quick 37 off 28 balls. At that point, Sunrisers were  at 117 for 4 in 17.2 overs. They lost 3 quick wickets for 24 runs in span of 2.3 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a not so competitive total of 142 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Umesh Yadav was the most successful bowler for Kolkata when he took 3 wickets for 28 runs.

Kolkata Knight Riders  had a solid start. The 92 run-stand between Uthappa & Gambhir in 74 balls was excellent & looked Kolkata will win easily. Uthappa scored a classy 38 off 34 balls. He was adjudged LBW to Ashish Reddy. Russel was promoted to number 3 spot but failed to do much. We was grounded by a beautiful yorker by Mustafizur Rahman. KKR lost 2  quick wickets for 5 runs in the span of 1.2 overs. it looked SRH will make a comeback but Gambhir has some other idea. Gambhir scored a brilliant 90 off 60 balls and hammered the Hyderabad bowlers all around the park. This was his second fifty of the season and overall 28th fifty in his IPL career. But still looking for his 1st hundred in IPL or Twenty20. This was Gambhir’s second highest score in his IPL behind 93 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kolkata in 2012. The 49-run stand in 28 balls between Gambhir and Manish Pandey sealed the fate of the game.  Both remained unbeaten. Gambhir hit the winning four & Kolkata won comfortably. SRH bowling was ordinary and only Mustafizur impressed.  Ashish Reddy & Mustafizur took one wicket a piece.  This was Kolkata’s second win in IPL 2016. Gambhir @ 192 runs, earned the Orange Cap.

Now, Kolkata Knight Riders will play  the next match against Kings XI Punjab on April 19 and Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Mumbai Indians on April 18.

IPL 2015: SRH V KXIP

Sorry for not writing last 3 days. Yesterday’s match was an thrilling match. The match was played at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bat first. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings had a good start. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings was boom boom at 56 for 0 in 6 overs. The 56 run-stand between Dhawan & Warner in 37 balls tried to pace Sunrisers Hyderabad innings. They lost Dhawan in 7th over of the innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings was comfortably placed 121 for 1 in 13.3 overs. The 65 run-stand between Warner & Henriques in 45 balls increased the run-rate. This was the highest partnership in Sunrisers Hyderabad innings. Henriques scored a fine 28 off 24 balls & tried to attack the Punjab bowlers. Warner scored a brisk 81 off 52 balls & crushed the Punjab bowling attack. This was the highest score in Hyderabad innings. This was Warner’s 2nd highest score in IPL 2015 till yesterday behind 91 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders at Viskhapatnam on April 22. They lost last  4 wickets for  36 runs in the span of 3.5 overs &  changed the situation after that. Kings XI Punjab bowlers sprayed all over the field throughout the innings. They started very quick in first 10 overs & also very quick in later overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings final total was 185 for 5 in 20 overs. This was Hyderabad’s 3rd highest total in IPL behind 205 runs against Kings XI Punjab at Hyderabad last season, 201 runs against Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai(BS) earlier this season.

Kings XI Punjab innings also had a good start. The 42 run-stand between Vijay & Vohra in 29 balls was not very important. They lost 6 wickets for 57 runs in the span of 8.3 overs & also changed the situation after that. With the departure of six Kings XI Punjab batsmen Kings XI Punjab innings was reduced to 99 for 6 in 14.1 overs. Miller scored a huge 89 off 44 balls & hammered the Hyderabad bowlers. This was the highest score in Punjab innings. This was Miller’s 2nd highest score of his IPL career behind 101 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mohali in 2013. The 59 run-stand between Miller & Axar Patel in 29 balls stabilized the Kings XI Punjab innings fightback. This was the highest partnership in Kings XI Punjab innings. They lost Axar Patel in 19th over of the innings. Henriques took 3 wickets for 16 runs & Hyderabad won comfortably. KXIP nedd 39 off last 2 overs & it will look a tight match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a gem &  conceded only 11 runs & a wicket in 19th over  of the innings. KXIP need 28 in last over of the innings. Ishant Sharma conceded 22 runs in final over of the innings.  Kings XI Punjab innings final total was 180 for 7 in 20 overs. Ishant Sharma bowled the winning ball. Hyderabad won the match by 5 runs. This was Hyderabad’s 3rd consecutive win & happened 1st time in IPL 2015.

Now, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Royal Challengers Bangalore also at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on 15th May. Kings XI Punjab will  also face Royal Challengers Bangalore at PCA Stadium on 13th May.

At another place Mark Craig took 5 wicket haul in Somerset 2nd innings. New Zealand begin the tour with the win. Mark Craig was declared man of the match for bowling performance.

Sorry for not writing yesterday. Yesterday’s second match was an one-sided match totally. The match was played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl first. Kolkata Knight Riders innings had a good start. Kolkata Knight Riders innings was boom boom at 57 for 0 in 6.1 overs. The 57 run-stand between Uthappa & Gambhir in 38 balls tried to pace the Kolkata Knight Riders innings. This was the highest partnership in Kolkata Knight Riders innings. Gambhir scored a brisk 31 off 23 balls & tried to crush the Hyderabad bowling attack. They lost Gambhir in 7th over of the innings. Uthappa scored a huge 30 off 27 balls & tried to destroy the Hyderabad bowlers. They lost 5 wickets for 111 runs in the span of 8.5 overs & the situation changed after that. With the departure of top five KKR batsmen Kolkata Knight Riders innings was reduced to 111 for 5 in 15 overs. Pandey scored a quickfire 33 off 26 balls & tried to attack the Hyderabad bowlers. This was the highest score in Kolkata innings. Yusuf Pathan scored a rapid 30 off 19 balls & squeezed the Hyderabad bowlers. This was Pathan’s 2nd highest score at this ground behind 72 runs also against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. The 28 run-stand between Yusuf Pathan & Botha in 15 balls was crucial. They lost last 2 wickets Botha & Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession. They started very quick & were quicker later overs. Karn Sharma bowled a lethal spell & took 2 crucial wickets in the innings. Kolkata Knight Riders innings final total was 167 for 7 in 20 overs. This was Kolkata’s 2nd highest total at this ground in IPL 2015 till yesterday behind 177 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 11.

Sunrisers Hyderabad innings had a bad start. They lost 3 early wickets for 29 runs in the span of 4.5 overs. With the departure of top three SRH batsmen Sunrisers Hyderabad innings was reduced to 29 for 3 in 4.5 overs. The 26 run-stand between Henriques & Morgan in 20 balls was not very important. They lost 4 wickets for 26 runs in the span of 6.1 overs & the situation changed after that. With the departure of next four SRH batsmen Sunrisers Hyderabad innings was  reduced to 81 for 7 in 14.1 overs. Henriques scored a fine 41 off 33 balls & tried to pace the Hyderabad innings. This was the highest score in Sunrisers innings. This was Henriques’ highest score of his IPL career beating 38 runs for Delhi Daredevils against Kings XI Punjab at Delhi in 2010. Sunrisers Hyderabad innings was weakly placed 117 for 7 in 17.4 overs. Karn Sharma scored a brilliant 32 off 20 balls & hammered the Kolkata bowlers. The 36 run-stand between Karn Sharma & Praveen Kumar in 22 balls was much responsible for Sunrisers Hyderabad innings fightback. but this was too little and too late. This was the highest partnership in Sunrisers Hyderabad innings. They lost last 2 wickets Karn Sharma & Praveen Kumar also in quick succession. They started not very quick in first 10 overs & slow in later overs. Hogg took 2 wickets for 17 runs & Kolkata won comfortably. Russell bowled the final ball. Kolkata won the match by 35 runs. This was Kolkata’s 5th win in IPL 2015.

Now, Kolkata Knight Riders will face Delhi Daredevils also at Eden Gardens on 7th May. Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Rajasthan Royals at Brabourne Stadium also on 7th May.

At another place England second innings  was bowled out at 123 runs. Holder took 3 wickets for 15 runs. West Indies second innings final  total was 194 for 5. Darren Bravo went on to score 82 runs. West Indies won the third test by 5 wickets. The series was drawn at 1-1. Trott announced his retirement in International Cricket after the test series in Caribbean.
